Crete Ferries

The fastest way to travel from Athens to the Greek islands is by plane, but the option more chosen by tourists travel by boat, especially to have to opportunity to contemplate the beauty of the landscapes.

Before the trip, we recommend you to decide which islands you want to visit and search online for schedules and itineraries of the different ferries. The routes operate especially between the months of April and October (in winter some routes are deleted or are less frequent). There are islands that do not have direct links so it is necessary to make scales, so it is important to calculate the time that it will be necessary.

Most ferries that connect with the islands depart from Piraeus, the great tourist and commercial port of Greece. There you will find numerous offices of ferries, that offer both high-speed ferries (that are more expensive) as other more affordable. Tickets can be purchased at the cashier window or can be reserved in advance online.
